Film Structure!

Shot

A shot is a single piece of continuous film footage. There are usually a number of shots within a scene.

Scene

A scene is a number of shots or possibly a single shot that are filmed in a single location.

Sequence

A sequence is a series of scenes or shots which form a distinct narrative (story) unit, connected by a location or a unit or passage of time. a sequence can follow a narrative and include a beginning, a middle and an end.
